Thread Sealants

RectorSeal® T Plus 2® is a non-hardening thread sealant containing PTFE plus synthetic fibers dispersed in an resinous base combined with inert mineral fillers provide maximum sealing performance.

RectorSeal® Tru-Blu™ is a fast drying, adhesive thread sealant. It is especially suited for high vibration environments such as refrigeration or compressor applications. It contains PTFE for better thread sealing and for lubrication to facilitate easy break-out. It is also great for use as a positive lock and seal on threaded fasteners.

RectorSeal® pipe thread sealant is a soft-set, slow drying compound which seals, lubricates and protects threaded pipe and fittings. It can be pressurized immediately for piping up through 2 in and 100 psi(for natural gas, air and water only) and is ideal for application with a wide variety of fluids and gases, including potable water applications. Recommended for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, fiberglass reinforced and PVC pipe. Not recommended for use with ABS, CPVC pipe or oxygen, chlorine and other oxidizers.

Economical general-purpose fitting sealant. Outperforms tapes and pipe dopes. Seals and resists pressure in air, oil, diesel fuel and hydraulic systems. Remains pliable at higher and lower temperatures. Temperature range -65°F to 300°F (-54°C to 149°C); resists common shop fluids.

Permatex® Prussian blue is a non-drying blue, oily paste type pigment designed to identify points of interference and high spots on precision parts to be fitted. It speeds tracing and precision fittings of close tolerance assemblies. Makes improper fitting high spots immediately visible as bright blue streaks.

Thixotropic, methacrylate ester acrylic thread sealant liquid designed for threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Loctite® 5452 is a purple, thixotropic, methacrylate ester acrylic thread sealant liquid designed for threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. It is useful with dry seal fittings such as O-Ring boss style connectors. It can be used as a sealant on mating surfaces of flare style fittings. It contains no fillers or particles that can interfere with a hydraulic system.

Slic-Tite® thread sealant works in extremely high pressure systems and it comes with several approvals to ensure industry standards are met.

Blue Monster professional grade pipe joint compounds have been engineered to address poor quality metal threads and the increased use of plastic pipe systems. Two formulas are available in the regular compounds one with and one without PTFE. They won't "separate" in the can as easily as other brands when not in use and they adhere to the threads even in the presence of water or oils.
