Inner rings for drawn cup bearings are designed to be a loose transition fit on the shaft and should be clamped against a shoulder. If a tight transition fit must be used to keep the inner ring from rotating relative to the shaft, the inner ring OD as mounted, must not exceed the raceway diameters required by the drawn cup bearing for the particular application.
