Especially well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits. Locks and seals while preventing parts from loosening due to vibration. Protects threads from corrosion. May require heat or special tools for removal. Conforms to ASTM D5363 AN0221, Mil-Spec 46163A, Type I, Grade K.

Permatex® 27140 High Strength Threadlocker, 36 mL Bottle, Liquid Form, Red

Permatex® high strength threadlocker red gel is a high strength anaerobic threadlocking gel conveniently packaged in a new Gel Twist™ or Gel Squeeze™ applicator. The product, like its liquid counterpart, is a single component, anaerobic gel that cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces, ideal for all 3/8 to 1 in (10 to 25 mm) and greater diameter threaded assemblies. Excellent chemical resistance and temperature resistance range of -65 to 300 deg F (-54 to 149 deg C). The assembly may require the use of heat to remove bolts. NSF Nonfood Components Program Listed (P1) (135870).

Designed for securing parts that must withstand heavy shock, vibration or extreme chemical or environmental conditions. Locks and seals while preventing parts from loosening due to vibration. Protects threads from corrosion. Localized heating and hand tools are required to separate parts. Conforms to ASTM D5363 AN0331 (Mil-S-46163A, Type II, Grade O).
