The coarse grade is perfect for use on concave, convex, and flat surfaces. The two-sided files are rounded on 1 side and flat on the other, so you can round out holes with ease. Half-round bastard files are double-cut on the rounded sides, allowing you to quickly remove material from the work piece.

The Crescent Nicholson pillar files is a Swiss pattern file with cuts ranging from 00 to 4. These are made to be a more exact measurements than American pattern files. Pillar files are rectangular in shape and are double cut on two sides. They feature safe edges and are tapered in thickness. Similar in shape to hand files, but only 2/3 as wide.
