Blue Monster professional grade pipe joint compounds have been engineered to address poor quality metal threads and the increased use of plastic pipe systems. That's 5 times more tape than conventional rolls of low-density thin tapes. Fewer wraps are necessary to affect a leak-proof seal and it applies easily. Mill-Rose Full-Density Green Thread Seal Tape is over five times heavier than common sealing tapes so you can use it and never worry about contaminating systems. Because it is degreased; it has no residual lubricant, unlike common tapes made with petroleum as a lubricant.
