Dichtomatik N70205 O-Ring, 205 Dash Number, 0.421 in ID x 0.699 in OD, Nitrile Rubber, 70 Shore A Durometer, Import, Custom 205
O-rings are closed circular rings of circular cross-section. They are made through vulcanization from form tools as a complete ring. The sealing function of the O-ring is achieved by the deformation of the cross-section when installed and compressed in its housing. The O-ring can be compressed either radially or axially in its installation housing. In operating conditions the pressure exerted by the media reinforces the sealing function, as under pressure the elastomer material functions as a non-compressible fluid.

- Good chemical resistance to mineral oils and greases
- The physical and chemical resistance properties of NBR materials are determined by the acrylonitrile (ACN) content of the base polymer which can vary between 18 and 50%
- Low ACN content ensures good flexibility at low temperatures, but offers limited resistance to oils and fuels
- As the ACN content increases, the low temperature flexibility reduces and the resistance to oils and fuels improves
- Physical and chemical resistance properties of NBR materials are also affected by the cure system of the polymer
- Peroxide cured materials have improved physical properties, chemical resistance and thermal properties as compared to sulfur-donor-cured materials
- Standard grades of NBR are typically resistant to mineral oil-based lubricants and greases, many grades of hydraulic fluids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, silicone oils and greases and water to about 80 deg C
- NBR is generally not resistant to aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, fuels with a high aromatic content, polar solvents, glycol based brake fluids and non-flammable hydraulic fluids (HFD)
- NBR also has low resistance to ozone, weathering and aging, but in many applications this has no negative effect

SealmasterĀ® gold mounted ball bearings feature a wide outer race insert bearing with land riding metallic retainer. The black oxide treated bearing steel insert features an exclusive lock pin and dimple system providing a direct path for lubrication into the bearing, and prevents outer ring rotation within the housing. Shaft lock is achieved by either setscrew or SkwezlocĀ® concentric locking collar. The felt seal with flinger provide a good balance between contaminant entry, GoldPlexĀ® HP grease loss and friction. Depending on your preference, these bearings are available in both inch and metric shaft sizes with a wide variety of cast iron, stamped steel or rubber mount housings, sealing, and lubrication options or industry specific solutions.
