The Crescent Nicholson American pattern, round single-cut bastard files features a circular design with teeth all the way around. These files can be used to file circular openings or concave surfaces. The single-cut construction provides light removal of material and slightly smoother edges. The slight taper in width towards the file's point creates ease of access in slots. Crafted from metal, the file's construction offers strength and durability.

Brass fittings are popular because they are strong and durable and hence widely used in industrial and residential applications. The use of brass to make various fittings provides a distinct look because of its yellow color. The advantages of brass for fittings include its good corrosive resistance and also its plating, joining, polishing and finishing characteristics. Brass as a material is easily machined and hence can be given any shapes of the various types of fittings available.

The vitrified bonding technique uses a high temperature process whereby abrasive materials are heated to a point where the grains fuse to each other, forming the bond posts. Vitrified products, although somewhat brittle are not affected by water, oil, most acids or temperature changes. Used primarily for precision and fixed feed applications, they are particularly well suited for bench grinders and offhand tool room applications.
