Milwaukee® SHOCKWAVE™ 48-89-4629 Hex Shank Impact Drill Bit, 1/2 in Drill - Fraction, 0.5 in Drill - Decimal Inch, 3-21/64 in D Cutting
The MILWAUKEE® 1/2" SHOCKWAVE™ RED HELIX™ Titanium Drill Bit is engineered for extreme durability and long life. The QUAD EDGE™ tip delivers a precision start and four cutting edges to create smaller chips for faster removal and less heat leading to longer bit life. Designed with a Variable Helix ™ that includes an aggressive 35° helical angle, which ends at 15°, this titanium drill bit with RED HELIX™ provide Rapid Chip Removal™ limiting heat buildup to Stay Sharper Longer™. The bit also features an internal ENHANCED TAPERED WEB that greatly increases the strength of the bit, reducing premature breakage. Ideal for various applications including but not limited to wood, plastics, and metals, Milwaukee Red Helix Titanium Drill Bits provide up to 5X life vs. black oxide drill bits.

Kop-Flex® KOP-GRID® 2282218 1000 Horizontal Split Cover Tapered Grid Coupling, 1-5/8 in Dia Bore, 4.62 in OD, 4.12 in OAL, 2000 in-lb Torque, 4500 rpm Max
The grid design functions as a resilient coupling by damping torsional vibration and cushioning shock loads. This results in reduced vibration at the output end of the coupling. Peak loading is reduced, for smooth torque transmission, to help protect connected equipment from potentially damaging vibratory loads. A second function of the grid design is that it can act much like a protective overload shear device. During an extreme overload, the grid can shear, reducing the possibility of damage to expensive machinery and equipment. The outer edges of the grid contact the hub tapered teeth for light loads. This leaves a long span to bear the load variations while still compensating for misalignment. The grid is free to flex and dampen shock loads, even as the load increases. The span between the support ends shortens with increasing load. However, the grid is still free to flex, cushion shock and compensate for misalignment. The KOP-GRID® coupling, when under extreme loads, transmits the full load directly to driven equipment with the entire grid in full contact with the hub tapered teeth. The coupling is flexible within its rated capacity. Movement of the grid in the hub grooves accommodates parallel misalignment while dampening shock and vibration. The grid/groove design permits a rocking and sliding action. This occurs without loss of power through the resilient grid. End float is permitted for both driving and driven shafts because the grid slides freely in the lubricated grooves.
